On the 21st, the curtain fell at the 8th China-Russia Expo, and the concurrent 33rd Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair also reached a successful conclusion. Over the past few days, the exhibition has been bustling with visitors and business transactions, becoming a grand stage for merchants to negotiate business deals, a window for local exchanges and collaboration, and a golden business card for regional economic and trade cooperation.
This year's exhibition attracted over 120 Chinese and foreign delegations from 44 countries and regions and more than 2,000 representatives from various business entities, including state-owned enterprises, leading private companies, and cross-border e-commerce chain organizations. Yu Ziwen, the Deputy General Manager of the Northeast region of SUNWAH Group, stated that Heilongjiang Province has unique geographical advantages, especially in green agriculture, cultural tourism, and foreign trade. By leveraging the platform of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance currently being built by SUNWAH Group, they aim to connect with more Heilongjiang enterprises.
Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Russia's Primorsky Krai, said, "For this expo, we prepared our own pavilion and exhibited all the products we bring into Heilongjiang. Heilongjiang is our good neighbor. We actively participate in cultural and sports exchanges and team exchanges, which is deepening increasingly our friendship." Misako Osako, Vice President of Japan's Kawai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., expressed that local agents from Harbin and potential partners from Beijing and Guangdong came to discuss cooperation at this expo, for which they are very grateful.
At the exhibition, the "Black Soil Quality Products" pavilion attracted merchants worldwide to negotiate cooperation for over 900 high-quality agricultural products from Longjiang. Beidahuang Pavilion set up a "Black Soil Quality Products" tasting area and live online broadcasts, achieving a dual harvest of online and offline sales. Zhang Libo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beidahuang Food Group Co., Ltd., said, "This organic mung bean, one of our black soil quality products, undoubtedly ranks first on our best-selling list, with a daily transaction volume exceeding 60,000 cans."
As the Asian Winter Games is approaching, merchants from all over the country have set their sights on the ice and snow industry, starting to make early deployments. This year, snow-making machines from Mudanjiang, ski suits from Hailun, and snowmobiles from Tongjiang were particularly popular at the exhibition. Tong Haijun, Deputy General Manager of Tongjiang Hezhezhanqi Industry Co., Ltd. said, "The attention on ice and snow equipment is very high, with many more people coming to discuss cooperation than those in previous years. Next, we will put greater effort into our production and R&D of ice and snow equipment to create more new products."
This year, the creative industry exhibition area attracted numerous merchants with its unique creative atmosphere and cultural charm. Among them, the ice flower porcelain from Hegang won countless fans with its unique texture and grain. Wang Changli, a national first-class artist, introduced that ice flower porcelain is fundamentally different from traditional porcelain. During the firing process, its patterns are naturally formed rather than rendered by carving, which shows a unique cultural feature of the northern region.
The commercialized products of scientific and technological achievements from several provincial universities were highly favored at the exhibition. A pickling-use cucumber species independently cultivated by Heilongjiang University was selected and expected to be launched on a large scale this year. Wang Kai, Director of the Industry Development Center of Heilongjiang University, said, "At this exhibition, we reached a cooperation agreement with a company. They plan to invest 10 million yuan to build a production line for Professor Feng's pickled cucumber products at our university."
The successful holding of the exhibition is inseparable from the coordinated service and support of multiple departments. During the exhibition, starting from 6:30 am, all the traffic police squads from various districts under the Harbin Public Security Bureau were on duty, initiating a full-time linkage mode to ensure efficient travel for the participating vehicles. Li Yang, an instructor of the Second Guard Squadron of the Duty Brigade of the Harbin Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Detachment, introduced that the traffic police department adjusted the signal light timing as appropriate to improve traffic efficiency along the route. At the same time, the command center also launched high-point video patrols to detect traffic accidents promptly, breakdowns, and other emergencies, strictly preventing small accidents from causing major congestion.
In the first three days from the public opening day of this year's exhibition, the number of visitors had already exceeded 200,000, setting a new historical record. Chen Shijun, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Heilongjiang Sub-Council, said, "It can be said that this exhibition has gained an unprecedented success, achieving several historical bests - the highest exhibition level, the largest number of visitors, and the greatest influence. We will seize the momentum and coordinate all parties to do a good job in post-exhibition connection, follow-up, and implementation so that the exhibition results can be put into practice and the driving role of the exhibition economy can be played to the maximum degree."
