Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair

On May 17, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the 8th China-Russia Expo.

President Xi Jinping pointed out that, with the joint efforts of both countries, China-Russia relations have moved forward steadily and made solid progress, benefiting the people of both countries with tangible cooperation results. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. Standing at a new historical starting point, the bilateral relationship will embrace new historical opportunities and demonstrate even broader development prospects.

President Xi Jinping emphasized that after years of cultivation and development, the China-Russia Expo has become an important platform for the promotion of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. He hoped that all sectors of the two countries would take full advantage of the opportunity presented by this expo to deepen exchanges, share opportunities, and jointly contribute to the promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Russia. This will inject new impetus into the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in the new era.

Themed by “Cooperation, Mutual Trust, and Opportunity”, the 8th China-Russia Expo is sponsored jointly by the Ministry of Commerce of the P. R. China, the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Expo opened in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China on the same day.
