Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair

The 32nd Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as HTF)is to be held from June 15 to 19, 2023 at Harbin International Conference Exhibition and Sports Center. On June 2, at the press conference of the 32nd HTF organized by the provincial government press office, Ma Li, deputy secretary-general of People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, makes a keynote speech; and Tan Baicheng, vice president of Heilongjiang Trade Promotion Council and director of International Expo Development Promotion Center of Heilongjiang Province, Wang Xianhua, deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Heilongjiang Province, and Guo Shunmin, vice mayor of Harbin Municipal People’s Government, makes presentations respectively. Meanwhile, the intelligent digital IP images of “Haha” and “Qiaqia”, the mascots of the exhibition, are also officially unveiled at the press conference, exchanging and interacting with the Chinese and foreign journalists on site.

Ma Li introduces that this 32nd HTF themed by “Establishing New Platform of High-standard Opening-up, Sharing New Opportunities of High-quality Development”, occupies an exhibition area of 360,000 square meters, including the main venue occupying 60,000 square meters that is located at Harbin International Conference Exhibition and Sports Center; and its sub venues are respectively located at Harbin Hongqi Furniture Mall, Guorun Home Decoration Mall, Xilong Business Trade and Logistics Zone, with 300,000 square meters. There are six exhibition areas in the main venue, including: China-Russia Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Exhibition Area, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and International Cooperation Exhibition Area, Provincial, Regional, and Municipal Cooperation Exhibition Area, Industrial Cooperation Exhibition Area, Longjiang Revitalization Exhibition Area and Machinery Equipment Exhibition Area. At present, all the planned booths have been confirmed, with a total of 1,297 enterprises from 35 countries and regions, as well as 21 provinces, regions and cities participating in. The number of implemented booths surpasses the planned exhibition scale by 13%.

During the fair, such major events as the opening ceremony and the first China-Russia Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference are to take place and 44 supporting activities will be carries on around themes of international cooperation, industrial docking, investment attraction and tourism consumption.

In the respect of guest invitation, totally 21 economic and trade organizations, international organizations and foreign embassies delegations from 12 countries will participate in the fair. And a total of 23 domestic provincial and municipal government delegation, as well as delegations from seven state-owned enterprises, including China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, COFCO, China Railway Group Limited, Power China, Poly Group, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, and China Tea will participate in the fair as well.

Thirdly, higher quality. The elements of “innovation” and “technology” are highlighted in business attraction and exhibition, for the purpose of cultivating high-tech enterprise clusters, and adding value of exhibition technology is accordingly enhanced.

Enhancing technological innovation level and assisting enterprises to innovate and develop. The fair will showcase technology innovation oriented enterprises in all aspects. The new products and technologies of Shenzhen’s enterprises featured with “specialization, refinement, characterization and novelty” will be displayed and promoted through the platform of HTF. Accordingly, technological innovation dividends will be shared simultaneously.

The exhibits of the fair are featured with “excellent” and “special”, with nearly 10,000 products whose categories covering high-tech products, electronic products, mechanical and electrical products, building materials, home appliances, food, etc. Consumers can immerse themselves in the world of “buying globally” at HTF, and the international reputation, consumption prosperity, commercial activation and arrival convenience of HFT will be promoted remarkably. Through the fair, we will realize an organic combination of consumption atmosphere creation and brand building, an equal emphasis on service level improvement and product quality optimization and the development situation where international model and “hustle and bustle” can mutually complement.

Tan Baicheng introduces that HTF concentrates on high-quality development and takes “high standard, high level, characterization, influence and reality and high-efficiency” as its overall work direction. At this HTF a series of practical new measures are adopted in order to achieve phased new results, which are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

“High standard and high level” is reflected in “big event held in an ordinary year”. Taking the opportunity of the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” initiative, 51 government and economic and trade delegations from 13 countries are invited to participate in the fair and the number, scope and scale of the delegations are close to those of the best level in the same period of previous years. Taking full advantage of the diversified platform of HTF, it is planned that a series of international exchange activities at national level are convened such as China-Russia local culture and art season, international legal service forum, international aviation rescue forum and international creative design forum.

“Characterization and influence” is based on “Heilongjiang’s needs and exhibition’s power”. We comprehensively publicize and display new achievements generated in modern province, and the exhibition structure is further optimized, content relating to industrial revitalization accounting for around 50%, that relating to digital economy, biological economy, ice-snow economy, and creative design industry accounting for 12% and that involving green foods like Black Soil Premium Products and products of time-honored brands accounting for approximately 23%. In addition, the theme of supporting activities is more focused so as to make full use of the working mechanisms of “central and local governments” “Heilongjiang and Guangdong Province” “Shenzhen and Harbin City” and “sister cities” to hold “HTF Project Signing Ceremony” and other investment attraction and economic and trade exchange activities, and a number of projects characterized with large volume, excellent quality and fast implementation will be centrally signed.
